Bathtub Reglazing Frequently Asked Questions

Congratulations on your shiny new surface!

We hope you are as satisfied with the results as we are. Treating your new surface with respect, care, cleaning it regularly and following our Care & Maintenance Guide will ensure your fixture stays shiny, bright and give you many years of trouble free service.

Here are some questions we commonly get asked by our customers. We hope they answer any questions you may have, and if you still have questions we are always here to help! So reach out to us!

1. How do I maintain my newly restored tub?

2. Would you refinish the tiles in the bathroom as well? Do you have to regrout the tile first?

Yes! We can also restore bathroom tile and we will regrout the tile for an extra fee in the event that it needs it.

3. Will there be any unpleasant smells from the whole process?

We make every attempt to properly circulate the air so that we can minimize smell. We will leave the bathroom window open for several hours. In some cases bathrooms only have an exhaust fan and if so, there will be a lingering smell for a few hours. But it normally disappears before the end of the day.

4. What if I have shower doors?

We ask that the doors are removed prior to our arrival. Should you need help with this process, just let us know in advanced and we will plan for that process.

5. How can I expect my tub to look afterward?

Almost like new! Clean, shiny and beautiful.

6. What id I have a leaky faucet?

All faucets MUST be fixed prior to your reglazing procedure.

7. Should I have the reglazing done prior to the renovation of my bathroom?

Definitely not! All other work such as plastering, painting must be done first. Our warranty doesn’t cover man made harm or mishaps that could affect the refinishing on your tub. So we want to be the last ones to come in after your renovation is done.

8. My tub is dull. What can I do?

Cleaning the tub with ordinary household cleaners tends to fade and discolor the tub's original finish and there is really nothing you can do to bring the sparkle back. And the more chemicals you use, the worse it gets. So, reglazing your tub is your best option.

9. What’s the longevity of the new finish?

With proper maintenance and cleaning, your new finish will keep going for a long time. Peeling & flaking is the most common worry about reglazing. Peels & flakes are caused by catching gas under the coating during the process and will usually show inside 30 to 90 days after the reglazing occurs. However, the 3 year warranty we provide gives more than enough coverage against this mishap. So just call us if you are ever concerned.

10. When can I hop in my tub after it's reglazed?

your shiny new tub is ready to be used 24 hours after the technician is done.

11. What chemicals do you use to reglaze a tub?

We use a synthetic compound, which when applied, solidifies to an excellent beautiful shine with porcelain-like radiance. This is a one of a kind procedure made explicitly for bathtubs. It's vigorously lab tested to fulfill the most elevated guidelines quality. The material solidifies, and doesn't release toxins. We ONLY use products that will be safe for our clients. Ever!

12. How long is the reglazing process?

A typical job ranges between 2 - 4 hours. It all depends on how much work we are doing in your space that day.

13. Does your job include changing the fixtures in my bathroom?

Not at all. All plumbing fixtures and any issues MUST be fixed before our arrival.
